Video: Fourth Sunday Journey to Easter 2026

In this fourth week of our Journey to Easter, Fr. Carl Schlichte reflects on the healing of the man born blind and the anointing of King David—two powerful reminders that God sees far beyond outward appearances and our personal wounds.

For many adult children of divorce or separation, it can be easy to focus on our limitations, brokenness, or past hurts. These wounds can cloud our vision—making it difficult to see ourselves as God sees us: known, loved, and chosen. Yet the Gospel reminds us that Jesus is the Divine Physician who longs to restore our sight and heal the deeper vision of our hearts.

In this reflection, Fr. Carl invites us to:

  • Ask Jesus to heal the blindness in our hearts

  • See ourselves as God sees us—beloved and worthy of healing

  • Recognize that our own healing can become a mission to bring hope to others

As we continue our Lenten journey toward Easter, may this reflection help you ask the Lord for the grace to see clearly—with the eyes of faith and a heart open to His healing love.

Reflection Questions for Small Groups or Individuals:

  1. Where are my spiritual blind spots?

  2. Am I willing to acknowledge my lack of vision and come to Jesus asking for the gift of my sight?

  3. As I continue my healing journey, how I can embrace Jesus’ call, Jesus’ anointing of me to share this good news with others?
