Video: Journey to Easter Sixth Sunday - 2026 - Palm Sunday

In this sixth week of our Journey to Easter, Fr. Carl Schlichte reflects on the Passion of the Lord, inviting us to enter more deeply into the mystery of Christ’s suffering and love.

For many adult children of divorce or separation, personal wounds can feel heavy, confusing, and isolating. We may spend much of our lives trying to understand or heal our own pain. Yet this week, we are invited to turn our gaze toward Jesus, to encounter Him in His wounds and discover there the source of our healing.

In this reflection, Fr. Carl invites us to:

  • Enter into Christ’s suffering with compassion, just as He has entered into ours

  • Seek refuge within His wounds, where we are protected, known, and loved

  • Trust that by His wounds, our wounds can be transformed into something life-giving

As we stand at the threshold of Holy Week, may we not turn away from the cross, but draw near to it. In Jesus’ suffering, we find not only the depth of His love—but the path to our healing and new life.

Let us remain close to Christ this week, confident that His wounds are not the end of the story, but the very place where redemption begins.

Reflection Questions for Small Groups or Individuals:

  1. What wounds are you most aware of at this point in your healing journey?

  2. How have you encountered Jesus in your wounds?

  3. How are you draw closer to Jesus in his wounds this Holy Week?
