Jessica Root

Treasurer

Jessica Root has held varying roles in the nonprofit sector since graduating with a B.A. in Sociology from Mount St. Mary’s University in 2009. She has experience in nonprofit management, development and fundraising, volunteer recruitment and management, finance, and human resources. She recently obtained her Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Development from Mount St. Mary’s in 2018. Her personal mission is service to those in need and creating sustainability for faith-based nonprofits. Being an adult child of divorce herself, she is excited to join the Board of Directors for Life Giving Wounds in order to help bring healing to others in need. She attended a retreat in 2018 and it was life changing to be able to begin a healing process that was previously unknown to her. She is looking forward to contributing her skills and talents in nonprofit management so others can begin that same healing journey.
